summer semester

Summer semester has just started! .. since the 5th of January.

And no, unsurprisngly, it's not really fun. Well, okay it's not as bad as the normal semesters with four subjects, but hey I'm taking Chemistry 2 and each lecture is like 2 hours long. Beat that.
Then add 2 tutorial sessions and a 3 hour prac each week. In total, I have to dedicate myself to learn and explore the world of chemistry (eww) for 10 hours per week. Yayyyy.

And at the moment we have this lecturer (I think his name is.. Professor O'Hair or something) who does seem alright but quite over-enthusiastic (I've only had two sessions of lectures and all of us kinda picked up his catch phrase, "THIS MAKES TOO MUCH SENSE!" when he talks about electrons moving around a benzene ring or something along that line). But he seems like a nice person.... I guess.

Sorry no picture for this post. Will take some pictures soon and upload 'em... when I can be bothered, ahem :S HAHA.

p.s. I can see my blog dying out, do you too? HAHAHA

pure comic.

I want to watch this Korean movie, Pure Comic (Soon Jung Man Hwa).

This movie starrs Yoo Ji Tae, Lee Yeon Hee, Chae Jung An and Kang In from Super Junior.. quite a great casting I should think :) It's based on a web-cartoon and draws on the love stories of two couples: a thirty-years old guy & a high school girl (12 years age gap :O!) and a twenty nine years old girl & a 22 years old guy. Pretty big ages gaps there, ehh. I think it would be an interesting story xD. I didn't read the original web cartoon by the way.

And here is the trailer...

+_+ does seem quite interesting indeeed! (Or is it just me? lol)

Been trying to find ways to download this but failed... so far :( jeeez people, why don't you ever let poor students studying overseas to enjoy one of the very basic forms of entertainment for free... not like we have enough money to buy all the clothes we want after all. :(

Max Brenner's

..And we also went to Max Brenner's.

Ah, Max Brenner's.... my favourite cafe :)

We ordered milk mocha & waffle - my all time favourite +_+

Milk mocha in a HUGMUG. An absolutely adorable mug.

Waffle with melted chocolate on top. The best waffle I've ever had (or at least I remember so).

:)
lovely day.

I'd like to blog more but then... I think I'm going to bed now. Will come back when I feel more.. uh, enthusiastic. haha.
Anyway, I'm hoping the weather will be good tomorrow.. it's just weird how it's so windy and cold and rainy in december. Kinda sucks :(

PhotoPlus!

My sister, Cathie, is finally here!
..since like, saturday.

And one of the things we first did was.... of course... taking pictures at PhotoPlus :)

Fake, fake, fake. HAHAHA. Yeah, we know. I just LOVE how these amazing machines make anyone look.. so much better than real life. >_<

well there actually are more... but the thing is, I'm lazy to scan the rest, you see.

So below are some other random pictures of ourselves ("selca-s") taken via our cameras:

More to come............

paint, on my face

I actually managed to wake up at 7.00 am and go for the exercise, but other than that, I stayed at home the whole day, mainly browsing through the internet. Then I saw a blog post on make-up in a Korean website, which instantly inspired me - well okay nothing great, but I suddenly had this urge to follow the steps too; after all I had nothing to do (...although I had to clean up, but whatever.. I'll do it later).

This is Lee Hyori, a really popular, 'sexy-icon', female Korean singer. I personally think that makeup on her face just makes her look, really, just, prettyyyy. Well by no means I attempted to follow this, but yeah, just showing you the inspiration of the day (this picture was in that blog post, by the way)

Okah. I actually bothered to take pictures step-by-step.. and here is our starting point:

Oh my goodness. I'm sorry people. I don't know where I get the guts to commit such crime. But hey.. this IS the starting point. That's all I'm trying to say.

Alright, let me first show you my baby...

the "Valley of the Stars" kit by Benefit: this includes the face highlighters/illuminators Highbeam and Moonbeam, the lipgloss Her Glossiness, and the eyeshadows 'Tequila gold' and 'Snow white'. I just love this. Pretty stuff. Got this for my nineteenth birthday, and just lovin' it.

Anyways, as a first step, I've used the 'Tequila gold' eyeshadow just to apply to my entire eyelids as a base:

Er.... yeeeaaah. I know you can't see anything. I agree. But if you see it in real life, you would be able to notice the really subtle, slight, pearly things on the eyelids. Believe me.

Dior eyeshadow pallette. I had this since like...... year 11. HAHA. Yeah I know right. I'm pretty sloppy at using eyeshadows, so I barely used them. But I will try to make better use of this.

Erm, yes. I applied two shades from the pallette; the one on the upper left and the one at the bottom left. Of course I applied the lighter shade first and then the darker shade. Then it kinda looked like this:

And then here is our next step, eyeliner:

Pencil Perfect eyeliner by L'OREAL, which I purchased recently at a pharmacy. It's alright, usable, one good thing is that you don't have to sharpen it. Which is also one of the reasons why I bought it. Well anyway, so I drew along the lashlines, for both upper and bottom lines:

..something like that!

Here is my another baby; Shiseido Eyelash curler. As I mentioned before, got it from Siaw Hui and Karman :) Nyahaha. By the way, please do ignore the.. pencil and my mobile and the graphical calculator.. Not supposed to be there.

Curl lashes..

AHAHAHAHAHA. Look at that 'folding' of my eyelid. I know that's nowhere near being double eyelid, but whatever. HAHAHA. Just wanted to show you people things like this actually does happen to my eyelids too. Cheh. HAHAHA

Oh by the way I applied a little amounts of the 'Snow white' eyeshadow along the lower lashes (the Benefit one up there) too.

Virtuose mascara by Lancome. You know what, it's really sad, I practically ran out of this stuff. So to be honest applying this doesn't exactly make much difference, but whatever. I tried.

Okay, by now my eyes are looking like above. Do you see the difference? Do you??

..Buuuutttt, that, my friends, is not exactly the end.

Blusher. I don't really know which brand it is. Had it since long time ago.

....Sorrrryyy once again, guys. I... tried... (to.. pose? HAHAHA)

Applying the her glossiness lipgloss... (yes, with posing, I knoww. I know nobody actually applies lipgloss like that.)

A little closeup picture. .... HAHA.

And just to wrap it up.......................

There it was! How I spent almost the whole of today's evening.... (including writing up this long post!)

Well, I know it's not that great and ermmm I do lack a lot of things and skills :S But ohwellll... one day I'll improve I guess. :P

By the way, I really do think cosmetics can do wonders. HAHA Just compare my before and after pictures!

...Or maybe I'm not supposed to be happy about saying this. HAHA.

Cheers,

clare.

Time to change

I woke up at 8:00 am this morning, despite the fact that I slept at 2:00 am in the morning after, er, drinking a little :X .

Then I actually decided to exercise.

Well okay, nothing special there, when I say 'exercise' - I just decided to walk.
So I walked from my apartment towards the city through the Queen Victoria Market, came back to the uni through Lygon street but that only took me like, half an hour. So from there then I walked past the uni towards the colleges (yes that's like, towards the cemetery as well.. except I just didn't go THAAAT far) and then went to the Queen Victoria Market again and came back home.

Hence in total I walked for about an hour and twenty minutes-ish. And yes, I'll be doing this every morning from now on (hopefully!).

And yes, this will be the beginning of my change.

By the end of the holidays, I will be changed;
I'm going to be healthier, I'll lose weights, and I'll get better skin.

Okay, so that was the appearance side of my proposed change. Besides those..

I'll also make a hobby (an interesting one, rather than 'listening to songs' or 'watching movies' just like every other people on the earth), I'll read, and I'll be intelligent.

I know I'll have to work hard. But these aren't exactly impossible either. :) Let me just think of it that way.

Yes, it's time to change.

with the girls :)

Met up with Seo Hee unnie and Ji Won unnie yesterday at San Churro :)

Seo Hee unnie & Me

Ji Won unnie & Me

Seo Hee unnie & Ji Won unnie

Churros with the melted chocolate! gahhh yummyyyy :D

I first met them through the subject Intercultural Communication, which I took for my breadth this semester. It's kinda like a special case 'cause Ji Won unnie came to study at our uni just for a semester as an exchange student from Korea (she actually studies in the Seoul National University yo. How cool huh?) and Seo Hee unnie only took that subject as kinda like a breadth (I believe they call it an 'elective subject' rather than 'breadth subject' before the Melbourne Model.. whatever) as she's majoring (or major-ed, should I say) in commerce and now she's graduating and going back to Korea. And well, I'm doing engineering and took this subject purely out of interest anyway (it's an Arts subject by the way).. so yeap I'd say it isn't a very normal case. Although I've only known them for like a semester, they are really nice unnies to get to know and I did become pretty close with them.. especially with Ji Won unnie 'cause we actually worked on the second assignment together (H1, yo. NYAHAHAH). It's a shame that I won't get to see them anymore! Well, I may be able to see Ji Won unnie again 'cause she's not going back to Korea till like next month anyway, but yeah not really likely that I'll get to see Seo Hee unnie again :( Nevertheless, I wish all the best for both of them. =)

Seo Hee unnie treated both of us with coffee and that yummy churros up there. Gahhh really, having churros with melted choc and a cup of hot coffee when the weather is all cold and crappy (was raining outside) is pretty nice, I must say. We talked there for about an hour, and then went to PhotoPlus... what we did there, better explained by the picture:

Yeaps, sticker photos. Well okay they aren't stickers, strictly speaking, but yeah. The picture quality here looks pretty sucky because it's scanned. Anyways these do look more decent in real life :)

Right after this Seo Hee unnie had to leave, sadly :( . I guess she has a lot of things to do before she leaves, so yeaap.

Okayyy afterwards, me and Ji Won unnie weren't really sure what to do (and we didn't want to go home at that point) so we just went around Melbourne Central and Myer doing nothing else but..... to take pictures. Random pictures.

Oh, I love children's section. Such interesting place to take good pictures. :)

Aaaaaah tired. It's like 12.44 am here and I'm talking to my sister over Skype. And she's coming here to Melbourne on the 6th of December (that's like, next week!). Gaaahhh can't wait!!!
Alrights. Will come back soon with some other stuff~ Think I should sleep soon.. and think about what to do tomorrow :)
